Travis Bickle shows us how to give the perfect job interview. Cockiness, vagueness and a willingness to take the job on any terms are the right combination.

I love this beautiful sky in the closing scene of the 1985 post-apocalyptic film "The Quiet Earth". Is that Saturn rising?

Get A Life- Why Can't That Be Me Up There?
this is real life in artwork
I came here to see this exact scene because I just heard (5/13/24) that Steve just got "smacked in the face" (punched, actually) by some random a-hole. And, uh...I don't like it!
For me, I like the movie A LOT; maybe because I identify with the loner trying to make connections (but not getting the girl). And, there's more than a bit of Pavlovian process-of-association, in that it gives that loneliness a SOUNDTRACK.... When I recall that soundtrack, the sense of loneliness that I imagine he felt (often) washes over me. And, even tho I myself am a student of Naturalism, I CAN APPRECIATE in this story the one lasting friend he makes is God. For, who else rewarded him for his sacrifice to save the others by answering his scientific curiosity with another world where things work VERY differently? IMO, he knows he'll continue to remain alone, but that one watches...and, he gets a very real experience of the vast beauty of space. I just hope there's fish in that ocean, and wood to burn.

Will you work Jewish holidays? - What is Jewish holiday?
“I just wanna work long hours.” That line stuck with me.
Willie Cicci goes legit
For some reason this print is reversed. All the images are backwards like in a mirror. Great scene never the less.
In this interview you get to know about Travis. Great intro to the character. This movie may be the greatest movie ever .
This is better than modern lib looney times
Where is everyone?!!!! The Quiet UA-cam
Hahaha till this day, whenever i shave, i always think of this guy. I'm a grown ass man now and I understand why he brings that all the time 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The guy interviewing Bickle was the same guy who paid Rocky Balboa to break thumbs. He was the one who was moonlighting 😂
The good old days, when there were no "tell us about a time you promoted diversity" questions.
yup now it's all about the vibe bro......
It's hilarious to me that you would talk about "Taxi Driver" and call it 'the good old days' 😆

Later they interrogate the dog. "What did you tell him?" LOL.
Its like when you see you have an unexpected tik tok like post that you didn’t make and then someone makes a stupid comment….

Mental gymnastics to be comprehended by none...
oldest looking "26" yr old ive ever seen

26 yo? dude... im feeling old
There’s something eerie about this audience
This is from my favorite Kid's in the Hall episode... Bass Player is my favorite skit .. this is raw sketch comedy at it's finest..
Everyone else is like "Who is that kid talking to?"
Marines connection got him in. Take not of the repeated phrases, "anytime, anywhere"..thatvwas a common statement from SOF/Gun for hires back in the day. They didn't give a Sheet and were numb from whatever made them that way.
Mark Mckinney could play such varied characters so well
It’s almost like he’s a professional comic actor who specializes in sketch comedy and improv
@@NiggletFarm this reply is like if someone was like "Marlon Brando was good in this movie" and you replied "Yeah, because he's an award winning actor". Plus a lot of "professional comic actors" aren't good at playing varied characters so what you wrote doesn't even apply to my comment
Joe Spinell Always like this unlikeable guy. He was Gazzo in Rocky and had parts in The Godfather. Died a sad death after a sad life. Reminded me of a boss when I was young. Who also came across as a wise guy hood, but basically a good guy. Good actor.
Great holocaust film. Susanne Benton was so pretty in this film.
Is that Ed Kemper?
Anytime Anywhere
I watched this Scene over and over again when i first saw this Movie when i was a Kid... couldnt stop laughing, so funny :D :D :D wow, this was about 25 Years ago... im getting old :D

You know they need to make a fallout version.. if this… just saying 😂
Fallout is the Fallout version of this dummy what? Lol
Nowadays somewhere this is happening.
I feel so understood in that scene...
Incredible comedy that we will never see again
I saw this movie as kid. Skipped a day of school and went to the cinema. We sneaked in. We were age 15. Went with my best friend who is now dead. He was burnt to death in warehouse fire. I'll be 60 this year.

r.i.p. your friend
That was an utterly pointless comment.
@@Nicole19989 no it isn't.
Sorry about your friend but I couldn't help but laugh about the way you explained how he died, that seemed sonewhat unnecessary 😂
Woah, whats Cicci doin 'ere?
What a bright, enterprising young man you are. You're hired!
Just fill out these forms and check back for now when your shift comes..........Send Rocky in on your way out I want to talk to him for a few seconds.
Remember when job interviews were like that? Today in England you need a CITB cert then you need a CSCS card and that's before you even get fuckin near to the job. It's all hoop jumpin bullshit.
Yea what is moonlighting
